Love Is Around Every Corner!
What is the issue?
From 23 November 2023, a worm (virus) spread to the university e-mail service.
What is affected?
E-mail.
Who is affected?
All users are at risk of infection. Compromised accounts will send an e-mail replicant of the ILOVEYOU worm. However, the virus is not the original worm and anti-virus software will not react to it as such.
Action being taken
Students should report compromised accounts. Accounts infected shall be quarantined, along with the equipment used when the worm was downloaded. The IT team are working on developing a solution.
